I'm Julia — founder, baker, chief taste tester and occasional sprinkle fairy behind Crumbs Up!, our award-winning little home bakery in Aylesbury.

​

Baking has always been a big part of my life. Growing up in a home where the oven was rarely off, it was probably inevitable that I'd end up surrounded by flour, chocolate and mixing bowls!

​

These days, my passion is creating indulgent stuffed cookies — soft, gooey, packed with flavour and hiding a delicious surprise in the middle. Because let's face it, a cookie should never be boring!

​

Alongside our stuffed cookies, you'll find brownies, blondies, cookie tartlets and plenty of new creations. Everything is handmade in small batches, with lots of care and absolutely no skimping on the good stuff!​​​

A little bakery with a big achievement! 🏆

In 2026, we were incredibly proud to win Best Independent Bakery 2026 at the 365 Awards! Not bad for a little home bakery fuelled by chocolate, early mornings and a whole lot of passion!

 

Of course, I couldn't do it without my husband Richard, aka Captain Cookie — my chief helper, sounding board and occasional voice of reason (although that's debatable!). Together, we're a team of one and a half, making it all work with plenty of laughs along the way. 🤣

 

You'll also find us at our little Cookie House in Aylesbury, where we open at weekends and love meeting the lovely people who keep coming back for more.
